The German Historical Institute is pleased to collaborate with the Goethe-Institut on this exhibition which will be on display at the Goethe-Institut May 3- July 3, 2014 as part of a series of events held by several institutions in Washington DC to celebrate the 75th anniversary of Blue Note Records. The images in the exhibition, curated by Michael Cuscuna and Tom Evered, are from what is acknowledged as Blue Note's golden era of jazz recording. No other jazz label combined such inspired and impeccable musicianship with such distinctive photography and cover design.
