The Max Weber Foundation is expanding its network to another large region by founding the Max Weber Forum for South Asian Studies in Delhi (MWF Delhi). Established in 2021, the Forum traces back to an initiative of the GHI London and has been incorporated since 2014 as a German Institute Abroad under Indian law. The MWF Delhi plays an intermediary role between German and South Asian research in the humanities and social sciences and creates a free space for academic debate with and about the region of South Asia.
